Tom and Paula Redding founded Mission Outfitter in 2003 for the purpose of sharing God’s love to the widow, the orphan and the poor. Since 2003, Mission Outfitter has provided help in Guatemala, Mexico, Romania and Peru. For the past 18 years we mobilized teams of volunteers and donors to make a real difference in our world. Our work is currently focused in Peru. Mission Outfitter is a 501(c)3 non-profit charity. Join us and see what can be accomplished when you get an impassioned team of givers and doers to focus on change.
Our Giving Water initiative is helping rural jungle families have fresh water by providing water wells to refresh their body, soul and spirit. Giving Water has opened the door for us to share the good news of God’s love. Clean water means life and health. Drilling water wells gives families a sustainable source of water for cleaning, refreshing and bathing. We have the equipment and the experienced crews to get the job done. One well provides water for 35-40 people, which is 4 or 5 households. Our newly designed rain-water collecting systems give individual families the ability to gather and store precious rain water right in their home. These projects are giving life and health back to children and their families.
There are thousands of families and hundreds of communities in rural Peru that don't have the education or the resources to improve their need for sanitation. Open defecation is the leading cause of widespread intestinal disease and diarrhea infecting every person in the village. When human waste containment and sanitation is instituted correctly it will increase health and be a life changer. Human waste sanitation in the flood prone rain forest presents quite a challenge. However, we have a toilet design that has proven to be the answer. We call it the THRONE -a waterless, flush-less, eco-friendly, composting toilet. Our plan is to help every family have the dignity of their own private toilet in the safety and privacy of their home. Properly managing human waste, will decrease disease, increase family health and drastically improve childhood development. Something you and I take for granted will be a miracle for them.
Cost $500. per toilet. Donate any amount or sponsor a family’s toilet.
